Don't get dehydrated this summer!

Stay Hydrated Water is an important key to surviving the summertime heat, but not just because it cools you off in the pool or lake! Drinking lots of water will prevent the body from overheating (hyperthermia), a serious condition which can permanently damage your body?s organs.

The general health recommendation is that you drink 6-8 glasses of water each day. Because of the excess heat in the summertime though, more may be required, especially dependent on your activity level. By the time your body tells you you?re thirsty, you?ve already started to become dehydrated. So remember to keep a cold bottle of water with you this summer at all times. And if you start getting dizzy or nauseas, call your doctor. Stay safe this summer!
