1993 Manga Report
Stated that spinal manipulation by Doctors of Chiropractic was more effective than alternative treatments for low back pain, as well as safer than medical management of low back pain, and more cost-effective than medical management.

2000 Journal of Manipulative & Physiological Therapeutics
?Patients with chronic low back pain treated by Chiropractors showed greater improvement and satisfaction at 1 month than patients treated by family physicians? A higher proportion of chiropractic patients reported that their low back pain was better or much better? nearly 1/3rd of medical patients reported that their low back pain was worse or much worse.?

2002 American Journal of Public Health
Study showed that chiropractic patients were more satisfied with their back care providers after four weeks of treatment than medical patients or physical therapy patients.

2002 Annals of Internal Medicine
A study on neck pain showed that those who received manual therapy had fewer absences from work and less analgesic use than those getting physical therapy or general practitioner care.

2003 British Medical Journal
In a randomized controlled trial of patients with neck pain, those receiving manual therapy had a much faster recovery than those receiving physical therapy or general practitioner care. Also, costs for the manual therapy group were 1/3rd of that for the physical therapy and medical groups.
